Associate/Assistant Manager, Commercial Transaction Management
Location: Head Office, Tokyo
We are hiring two associates or assistant managers specializing in commercial transaction management to complement both aircraft trading and leasing departments due to expansion of business.
Responsible for seeing through projects from sourcing to closing, ongoing monitoring of contracts, as well as nurturing the client relationship beyond the initial transaction.
Performance will be evaluated based on results.
・Be able to drive projects from start to finish with minimum supervision and with exceptional regard to efficiency and time management;
・Be able to quickly identify all potential transaction hurdles and provide cost sensitive solutions involving the appropriate team members at an early stage.
・Be able to monitor, analyze, and report on all matters in detail and at a project level.
・Be able to work with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, domestically and overseas.
・Have a strong focus on commercial outcomes.
・Be able to nurture existing clients and grow the business by converting leads or seeking new opportunities;
・Be a strong multi-tasker, with a willingness to learn, the ability to think critically in the real world, and thrive under pressure; and
・Independently monitor and adapt to changing market conditions, tailoring our trading and leasing products to suit the needs of our clients.
・A degree in finance / commerce / relevant engineering / business administration.
・At least 5 years’ experience working in a sales or project management position with a demonstrable track record.
・Relevant experience in aviation, international trading business, finance for property development and real estate, or the equipment finance industry would be preferred (or someone with an existing personal interest in aviation is preferred).
・Strong numerical and commercial skills
・Finance or Legal working experience is preferred.
・Proficient at working with all Microsoft Office programs with a particular focus on excel.
・All tasks will be in English, and you will be reporting to a native English speaker.
・Japanese skills will be highly regarded.
・Must be able to relocate to Tokyo.

・This role involves high levels of interaction with customers based in North America, Europe and Australasia. The successful candidate shall be experienced with navigating cross-cultural environments and past experiences living and working in multicultural environments will be highly regarded.
